AKWAABA is the Akan language word for Welcome for the Akan people of Ghana, West Africa.

IGNITE HEALTHY BRAINS D.R.U.M.S is a special program that gives opportunity to anyone who is interested in improving on their brain health through the performing arts in the areas of percussion, singing, chanting, storytelling and self-improvement poems with emphasis on drums.   The goal of the program is to celebrate the D.R.U.M.S which translate to DIVERSITY, RESPECT, UNITY through MUSIC in a SAFE space. 
In designing the program, we have taken into consideration all the challenges with people who suffer isolation, other discrimination, stigmatization and stereotypes.  IGNITE HEALTHY BRAINS D.R.U.M.S is a Dementia Friendly program.

We are available for special Drum Circle events, performances, Training, Professional Developments and Lecture Demonstrations.

Join in the Rhythmic Fun! We use a variety of instruments, including African Djembes, Congas, Frame Drums, Shakers, Bells, Claves, our voices.....or even Bunt/Cake pans - as you see here!
